Regional FirstCare's four clinic locations offer comprehensive walk-in services for a variety of non-emergency illnesses and injuries. The FirstCare facilities - located in North Athens, Watkinsville, Barrow County and Jefferson - provide supplemental care for those times when your physician's office is closed or unable to provide an appointment. Regional FirstCare Occupational Health Services offers preventive medicine concerned with maintaining health, enhancing performance and improving the safety of those employed in any occupation. Athens Regional Foundation
The Athens Regional Foundation allows Athens Regional Medical Center to provide a patient and family care environment second to none. The goals of the Foundation are community service and education by providing the financial means to establish projects and programs to reach out and serve the long-term healthcare needs of area citizens. Recent projects of the Foundation include the Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support, which provides free resources to anyone affected by cancer; The Guest House, a home away from home for families of critically ill patients; a Mobile Mammography Unit, which provides screening mammograms to women who do not easily have access to mammograms; and the Breast Health Center, which includes one of the only digital mammography units in the country.
