Laboratory Services
Regional Lab Outreach (RLO) provides you with accurate, timely, and cost effective lab services. RLO has several convenient locations to provide outpatient laboratory services. Patient service representatives take you through the registration and specimen collection process, always respecting your confidentiality and concerns.
Six RLO service centers are located in a three-county area:
- Medical Services Building (Located behind ARMC on King Avenue)

- Resource Medical Office Park

- Oglethorpe Avenue Service Center
Map 610 Oglethorpe Avenue, Suite B, Athens Hours: 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday-Friday
- Medical Specialty Office Park
Map 3320 Old Jefferson Rd, Bldg. 200 Ste C, Athens Hours: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday; closed for lunch 1-2 p.m.
- Watkinsville Service Center
Map Windridge Office Park 1618 Mars Hill Rd, Suite C, Watkinsville Hours: 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday-Friday
- Jefferson Medical Service Center
Map 528 Panther Drive, Jefferson Hours: 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday-Friday
Critical or emergent outpatient labwork needed when Regional Lab Outpatient Service Centers are closed will be handled through ARMC's Emergency Department.

MISSION STATEMENT: The Clinical Laboratory Services at Athens Regional are dedicated to furnishing a comprehensive, timely, and complete scope of services. Providing a focus on the availability of information, the Laboratory seeks to give its customers pertinent data for the diagnosis, monitoring, and intervention in patient care. The Laboratory seeks to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness throughout the entire testing process from receipt of a request to the final report. Practicing a continuous improvement philosophy, the Laboratory will constantly review clinical processes, financial data, and information services, striving for improvement whenever possible. While constantly maintaining an awareness of the patient that is the final result of our endeavor, the Clinical Laboratory upholds to process each individual sample in a confidential, professional, and conscientious manner.
The CAP Certification Mark is a service mark owned by CAP and is used persuant to a license from CAP.
