Programs For Women and Children
- Baby Care Basics: Covers newborn care tasks, including bath, diapering, dressing, swaddling, care of the umbilical cord and circumcision, feeding and burping, soothing a fussy baby and car seat information. Register now!
- Birth Basics: One time class for time-crunched expecting parents who desire just the basic information about what to expect during the labor and birth experience. Covers stages of labor, including some common interventions. Register now!
- Breastfeeding Basics: Covers the benefits of breastfeeding, preparing to breastfeed, how to get started, how to position and latch the baby, how to tell if the baby is getting enough to eat, and how to establish a breastfeeding routine the first few weeks at home. Register now!
- Baby & Child CPR: This class covers CPR and conscious & unconscious choking for infants (up to age one) and children (up to age eight). *Note: this course does not offer certification. Register now!
- Big Kids & Babies: This class is designed for children expecting a baby brother or sister including what to expect, a brief tour of the Mother-Baby Unit and more. Register now!
- Childbirth Preparation: These prenatal classes cover preparation for labor and birth, including stages and phases of labor, relaxation & breathing, comfort measures and interventions such as medications for pain relief, epidurals, induction and Cesarean delivery. Register now!
- Childbirth Preparation Saturdays: These prenatal classes cover preparation for labor and birth, including stages and phases of labor, relaxation and breathing, comfort measures and interventions such as medications for pain relief, epidurals, induction and Cesarean delivery. Register now!
